Evaluation question three: How did you use media technology in the construction and research and research and planning stages of your music video?

This is an example of some feedback we got from members of our audience on twitter. Twitter is commonly used in today's youth so this was a good way of promoting our music video as our target audience was around the age of 14-25 years of age.

Storyboard

We decided to make a video of our storyboard because we thought it would be easier to have access to it at home, on location by uploading it to youtube and viewing it on our PC's and also on our smart phones.

Evaluation question two: How effective is the combination of your music video and your digipak?

As you can see from my digipak, magazine advert and from these shots from our music video, it is clear that I have used a consistent use of hearts and the colour red to show a link between them. Also I have continuously used the same font for 'Ruby Reigns' because it is as thought it's her name logo. This is evident on the front cover of the digipak, on the CD and also on the music advert. I also decided to use this font for the back of the album for the track list so that there would be continuity in the presentation of my digipak. The audience can see this link as there is a consistency in the features we have used in the music video, the digipak and the magazine advert. The use of hearts shows that the artists songs are mainly based on love and relationships.

Evaluation question one: In what ways does your music video and digipak use, develop or challenge form and conventions of real media products?

Music Video

Digipak

Magazine Advert

It conforms the conventions of a pop magazine advert because it features the artist on it and it also has aspects from the album cover and from the music video.

Costumes

When we decided which song we would like to make our music video to, we researched into various different artists of the same genre and looked at their style of clothing. We wanted to have a fun, outgoing rban city theme and thought we thought that it would be a good idea to have our artist dressed in bright coloured clothes which suits her fun personality and also we tried to match Ken costumes as much as possible to that of the artist.
